At our lodges across Africa, our staff live and work surrounded by nature, far from the usual challenges associated with modern life, including daily commuting to work and finding a suitable place to live! The advantages of being in the bush also include life-changing opportunities to interact with an extraordinary range of influential people – our guests – who come from all around the world.

Staff at Singita Management Company in Cape Town and Johannesburg, as well as in the Arusha office, work in a dedicated way to support the reserve-based lodges. Everyone is part of an extended family, and no matter what their role, each is essential to Singita’s bigger picture.

Life gives us what we need to grow, and our beliefs and values provide the roadmap. When I joined Singita 25 years ago as a housekeeper, my knowledge was very limited, but over time, I worked myself up to where I am today – a lodge anchor.

I'm so grateful to be part of the Singita family and the company has provided me with the tools to develop and acquire new skills. I’ve come to love the hospitality industry – its dynamics, various responsibilities and that feeling you get when your training opens the door to a management position. My job also allows me to engage and socialise with people from all over the world, and Singita has shown me how important health and wellness is in life.
